Ben Affleck is an actor, director, screenwriter, and Hollywood icon who got his big break alongside best friend Matt Damon in the 1997 film Good Will Hunting. The duo won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for the movie, and Ben went on to star in a string of blockbuster hits including Armaggedon, Pearl Harbor, and The Sum of All Fears. 

In 2007, he made his directorial debut with Gone Baby Gone, which he followed up with The Town and Oscar Best Picture winner Argo. Since then, Ben has continued to act and direct, starring more recently as Batman in Zach Snyder's Justice League films and the upcoming The Flash. 

Ben married fellow actress Jennifer Garner in 2005 and the couple welcomed three kids together before announcing their split in 2015. Following their divorce in 2018, Ben has been linked to SNL producer Lindsay Shookus, actress Ana De Armas, and ex-fiancée Jennifer Lopez. 

The actor has also been very open with his struggles with alcohol addiction and depression. Ben started the nonprofit organization Eastern Congo Initiative in 2010 and is co-owner of the production company Pearl Street Films with Matt Damon.
